WASHINGTON (Reuters) -- Laura Bush, wife of President-elect George W. Bush, appealed to the media on Sunday to give their twin 19-year-old daughters "the same courtesy they afforded Chelsea Clinton," the daughter of outgoing President Bill Clinton.

Mrs. Bush told "Dateline NBC" her daughters, Jenna and Barbara, were "pretty savvy" about life in the public limelight, especially since they were the granddaughters of former President George Bush.
