The paparazzi caused the death of Princess Di^[1] and hounded Marilyn Monroe^[2] contributing to her overdose on barbiturates. Speaking of ODs, the public burnt out Judy Garland -- driving her to an barbiturate overdose.^[3]

Famous people make plenty of appearances without the need for paparazzi. This site, for example, is 100% recycled and no paparazzi were employed in it's creation. In fact, there is an open offer to Jenna and Barbara to take the helm and manage this site for themselves.

Do we outlaw the paparazzi? Do we tax the tabloids (the tax money could go to the stars for their mental health bills)? Do we line up and lobotomize the people who are buying tabloids and watch shows like TMZ, Access Hollywood, and ET?
